Being from the same state and place that the Alaskan Klee Kai was created back in the 70’s, gives us a great pride to continue this breed to the standards that have been set by their creator. We believe that seeing the dogs in their original surroundings helps us to understand the breed in a more compassionate and educated way.
Alakshak was founded in 1998 and we have devoted ourselves to understanding what it takes to be a successful breeder. With great determination to understand not only this breed, but also each individual dog. We believe we have developed a successful way in which we can help you chose your perfect companion.
Our Vision is for our kennel to succeed through client/companion satisfaction, personal and professional enrichment and reinvestment into the lives of our AKK's.
Heather believes in setting a higher standard for herself in all that she does in life. Heather has come to love this breed and her dogs very deeply. So it is with that love that Heather has established this kennel. It is the desire of Heather to get to know you as a companion for one of her puppies so that she can help you chose the perfect puppy for your home.
Heather and her family have established themselves in Alaska and have fallen in love with what Alaska has to offer. They are proud to be able to say they are living where the AAK had its beginnings, and are there to continue in the high standard that has been established.
